Very wise words as usual. I agree wholeheartedly there are countless ways to measure success and funnily, when I first made a huge career change from Director of Support & Services at a Tech and Computer Graphics company to going back to school to acquire my Registered Massage Therapy accreditation, I used very similar metrics or what I called core values to help me decide on which path to take and come to the conclusion I did to become an RMT, part-time. I know how important and invaluable Freedom was/is to me, and I had to come to terms with Money and what that meant to me. Growth was another one and I lumped in Continual Learning as a metric. Definitely Lifestyle but I called mine Flexibility and Portability. And Passion…it had to be something I loved. So I had several ideas of what to do next, and in the end, I had a spreadsheet with these core values going across the horizontal line, and listed vertically were the 4-5 ideas I had narrowed down my search to, and I simply applied a points system out of 5 for each category and in the end, the idea with the highest point made sense to me because it met all my core values. I think you are indeed a very successful freelancer because of how happy I know you are as your success is indeed measured by these metrics/core values. I also know you are successful because I love reading your work as do all your followers and anyone I have come across, they tell me how much they love reading your work! Congratulations! Keep doing what you do best and love!!! ❤
