Barcelona is so beautiful! You’re photos capture its ambiance perfectly!

  11. The last time I was in Barcelona it seemed like almost everything was under construction. I’d love to go back and check these places out all over again. I definitely agree with these though, especially the market!

    1. Thanks for commenting! I think Sagrada Familia is always going to be under construction so that will remain the same šŸ™‚ But yes, the market is awesome!

  12. your photos are so amazing, I love the panorama view it reminds of the tower in Barselona where I also made a tour it was fantastic being on the top of the world. nice post šŸ™‚

    1. Thank you! Barcelona is such a great place.

  13. I really like the way you laid out this post, with the save or splurge options as it’s so hard to know when you only have a few days in a place. I really enjoyed Barcelona and definitely saved on hotel costs but I love the look of the Bicycle apartments. I managed to do the whole thing pretty cheap but it was also out of season

    1. Thanks so much, Emma! I did a hostel on my first visit to Barcelona but loved this apartment for our more family-style visit.

  14. Barcelona looks stunning! Loved all the tips on places to see and explore but also where you could save some money! I’ll keep this post in mind for when I visit Barcelona in the future.

    1. Thanks, JoJo! Hope you enjoy your future trip!

  15. Such a pity the crowds and closed off areas in Parc Guell hindered you enjoyment of this amazing place. Luckily I was there when it was almost desrted and had no ongoing works so got a mesmerizing vist. Casa Batllo , as you say, is difficult to describe, as it is so unque and a riot of design.
The Bicycle apartments were a great find, I’m keeping them in mind for when I am next in the city.
I last saw the Sagrada Familia, 20 years ago and so much has been added and finished to it that I defo neeed to see what it looks like now. Great post, thanks for the info.

    1. Thanks for reading, Barry! So glad you had an awesome visit to Barcelona. Must be so cool to see Sagrada Familia over time and notice how it changes.

  16. My saves were- walking everywhere, no tours of the Gaudi architecture or the park (did the free part only, glad to know it wasn’t worth it), and our own walking tour around the city. But our splurges were dining and accommodations. Two things we don’t like to skimp on. But going to both markets were our saves, as you can eat pretty cheaply there. Thanks for the memories.

    1. Good picks! Walking tours are such a great way to save money. And always nice to budget for a great place to stay and some epic meals!

Some great tips! I didn’t have time to visit Park Guell when I went to Barcelona but it’s high on my list for when I go back and great to know that the free area is enough!

I love the food recommendations though – will definitely have to check those out as food is the thing I am most happy to spend money on when travelling!

    1. Thanks so much, Sarah! Yes, definitely enjoy the free parts of Parc Guell. And agreed, food is the best thing to spend money on!
