I began writing for professional publications in 2012. At the end of 2016, I transitioned to full-time writing and social media management. Since then, I’ve gained experience researching and writing articles, blog posts, website copy and news reports. As a social media manager, I create, schedule and post content to companies’ social channels. I have also taken on roles in editing, content and project management, invoicing and travel planning.

When I’m not working, you can find me catching up on House Hunters (which I was actually on!), ordering sushi or playing with my dog, Ellie. I currently reside in Vancouver, Canada but have clients all around the world. Next up on my bucket list is visiting 50 countries (I’m currently at 43!).

Blog post & article writing

I create content that is engaging, knowledgeable, conversational, SEO-optimized and thoroughly edited. My writing passions lie in lifestyle, weddings, pop culture, travel and relationships. I am organized, communicative and never miss a deadline. I have been writing for professional publications since 2012 and have been published both online and in print. In addition to blog posts and articles, I have also written news reports and website copy.

Writing is my greatest passion and I believe it’s an incredibly powerful tool to captivate an audience, share information and tell stories. My passion and skill for writing will allow me to engage your audience and keep them coming back to your website again and again.

Social media management

In 2016, I transitioned into a full-time freelance writing career and decided to pursue social media management. Since then, I have worked with eight companies (and counting) to grow their social media presence through strategy, scheduling and engagement. My preferred platforms are Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

My approach to social media is to focus on the social. Many social media users throw out content whenever they remember and then disappear from the channel completely. I believe in scheduling consistent content, creating meaningful captions that spark conversation and tell stories, and engaging with your audience. My approach and social strategy will turn your social media into a benefit for your business instead of a burdensome task you keep bumping down on your to-do list.

In addition to writing and social media management, I also work in editing and project/content management. I pride myself on being organized and meticulous, two key traits needed in an editor and content manager. I enjoy and excel at fine-tuning copy, liaising with clients, creating editorial calendars, crafting professional email, pitching topics and scheduling assignments.
